Street Sign Updates

The City of Kyle is gradually replacing older street name signs with a new white-on-blue design. The updated signs use reflective materials that make street names easier to see and read, especially at night or in low-light conditions.

This change helps bring Kyle’s street signage in line with current traffic control standards and improves visibility for drivers, emergency responders, residents and visitors. Rather than replacing every sign at once, the City is updating signs as they reach the end of their useful life, are damaged or need maintenance. This phased approach helps manage costs while improving consistency across the city over time.

All new developments in Kyle are now required to install the white-on-blue street signs. Some older red, dark blue or green signs may still be visible in certain areas and will be updated as part of future replacement efforts.
